European Logistics Users Providers & Enablers Group In Overview

Bridges

ELUPEG is the only European organisation whose sole focus is the fostering of logistics collaboration. We are unique in recognising the critical importance of including all the major stakeholders in the process - hence our members include manufacturers of all kinds, logistics and transport companies, retailers, distributors, technology providers, consultants, educators, and financial service providers.

ELUPEG seeks to promote and facilitate horizontal collaboration. This is cooperation across rather than along supply chains. By bringing together non-competing and even competing companies, massive improvements in asset utilisation, carbon reductions, customer service and cost reductions are possible.

Collectively ELUPEG has a wealth of real business experience and can demonstrate how collaboration in logistics and supply chain can transform businesses, slash costs and contribute significantly to the achievement of environmental targets. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are run by our for the benefit of our members, their customers and suppliers and the public as a whole.

Collaboration can:
  • Reduce empty running
  • Lower carbon emissions
  • Cut transport costs
  • Reduce congestion
  • Enable modal shift
  • Encourage sustainable distribution networks and partnerships
  • Improve warehouse utilisation
  • Enhance customer service
  • Give SMEs the critical mass to compete
  • Mitigate waste issues
  • Facilitate WEEE efficiencies
  • Help companies find most-suitable partners
